Rep. Rob Schaaf raises over $83,000 for his Senate Campaign
State Senate candidate State Representative Rob Schaaf announced Thursday that to date, his campaign has raised over $83,000 from over 260 contributors in his bid to be the next Senator from the 34th district. The significant number of more individual donors than his opponent shows there is excitement growing for Rep. Schaaf’s candidacy. For the third quarter, the campaigns fundraising efforts were boosted by an additional $34,100 in donations.
“I am honored by the number of people who have contributed to my campaign,” Rep. Schaaf said. “I am truly grateful to all those who have donated their hard earned resources and rallied around the conservative values I believe in.”
Rep. Schaaf has been a long-time champion in the Missouri House of Representatives for conservative solutions to the problems facing the state. He has continually fought the expansion of government into Missourians’ lives by preventing wasteful spending and keeping taxes as low as possible. His leadership in ensuring the citizens of Missouri have kept every dollar possible in their own pocket has contributed to the overwhelming financial support for Rep. Schaaf’s State Senate campaign.
In addition to the strong fundraising quarter, a recent poll released by Public Opinion Strategies showed Rep. Schaaf had the highest name recognition among conservative candidates in the district. With nearly 60% of the 34th District having heard of Rep. Schaaf, the poll translates the high name recognition into the lead in the Republican primary.
Between the third quarter fundraising and the poll, it abundantly clear that Rep. Schaaf is the choice among voters to represent them in Jefferson City. His message of lower taxes, accountability in government spending, and responsible health care reform in Missouri is resonating with voters.
“With the way Washington is handling the economic environment and spending tax payer dollars, the decisions made in Missouri are critical in protecting our citizens,” Rep. Schaaf said. “The support I am receiving proves voters want the conservative leadership I would bring to the Missouri Senate.”
