Rob Schaaf Files for State Senate
State Representative Rob Schaaf filed to run for 34th District State Senate on Tuesday, February 23. The 34th District includes Platte and Buchanan Counties. Dr. Schaaf announced that the focus of his campaign would be to “develop the economy without creating new taxes, return to smaller, more efficient government and protect health care through market based, patient choice legislation”.
Dr. Schaaf is the only Republican to file for office, and has raised $131,000 for the Senate campaign, six times as much as his Democratic opponent. Schaaf says “I’m on track for a very successful campaign. I have been spending a lot of time getting to know voters and issues in the district”.
Dr. Schaaf has been the 28th District State Representative for 8 years. Schaaf is the chair of the Healthcare Transformation Committee and has sponsored 145 bills. He maintains a 100% rating from the NFIB and an “A” from the NRA.
